Later, meet your fellow travelers and Travel Director for a Welcome Dinner as you prepare to follow in the footsteps of saints, monarchs and reformers who shaped the Anglican faith.

Begin your journey through England's ecclesiastical history as you join a local specialist for a visit to magnificent Westminster Abbey, the setting for royal coronations, weddings, and centuries of worship. Continue past the most recognizable landmarks on London's skyline, visiting St Paul’s Cathedral, Big Ben, and Buckingham Palace before enjoying a relaxing cruise along the River Thames.

Depart London for historic Canterbury and visit the incredible Canterbury Cathedral, one of England’s great pilgrimage sites and associated with the martyrdom of St Thomas Becket. Travel further west to see the prehistoric Stonehenge, before ending the day in Glastonbury for a well-deserved overnight rest.

Explore the spiritual heritage of Glastonbury through the ancient Abbey. Afterwards, enjoy the journey to Oxford to visit the astounding University Church of St Mary the Virgin. Finish the day in the breathtaking English countryside as you step onto the historical playground known as Shakespeare’s hometown, Stratford-upon-Avon.

Tour the Holy Trinity Church together, and then visit Anne Hathaway’s Cottage to deepen your historical understanding of Shakespeare’s time. Afterwards, continue the journey to Walsingham, England’s most significant Christian destination.

Pilgrimage in Walsingham. Participate in the Shrine’s pilgrimage programme, services and devotional activities and become one of the 15,000‍ ‍Christians who journey to worship here annually. Witness the Anglican Shrine of Our Lady Walsingham, which honors the Virgin Mary.

Start the day by visiting Walsingham Abbey and learning more about the historical significance of the medieval town. In the afternoon, wonder around the Anglican Shrine Church, tour the Holy House, and relax in the beautiful Shrine Gardens.

Continue your exploration of medieval history as you enter York’s city centre and visit the ruins of St Mary’s Abbey.

Travel to the iconic cities Haworth and Liverpool, where you will first visit St Michael and All Angels Church, and later the beautiful Liverpool Cathedral and, with time permitting, the Metropolitan Cathedral.

This begins an Extension of our Anglican Cathedrals tour to Scotland, an additional opportunity to expand and deepen your understanding of Christianity further across Europe.
Continue your exploration of the United Kingdom through the scenic English Lake District, before arriving in Glasgow.

Attend a morning prayer at a Scottish Episcopal church, assuming the schedule allows. Then prepare for breathtaking views as you travel across the stunning Loch Lomond and Glencoe areas, toward the legendary Scottish Highlands.

October 8, 2027
Settle into the vacation’s longest driving day as you journey to Loch Ness and finish in Edinburgh. Along the way, expect a thrilling visit to Eilean Donan Castle, one of Scotland’s most significant fortresses located on a small tidal island at the meeting point of three sea lochs in the Highlands.

October 9, 2027
Discover Scotland’s capital city. Explore Edinburgh Castle, the Royal Mile, Old Town, and the Haymarket district as you soak in the rich history all around. Finish the day off with a special evening service before attending a proper farewell dinner one last time as a congregation in the United Kingdom.

Congregate one last time for a final group service at another incredible church selected by the Bishop. After worshipping and reflecting on your time together, transfer to Edinburgh Airport to start the journey home—taking your unforgettable memories, a broadened understanding of Anglican history, and deepened connection with spirituality with you!

Consider joining a smaller group and continuing your pilgrimmage across the United Kingdom by hopping over to Ireland, a country deeply connected to its religious roots.
